Overview

Located in the vibrant 11th arrondissement of Paris, PITA - Cuisine Grecque et Méditerranéenne - Restaurant BASTILLE offers a genuine taste of Greece and the Mediterranean right in the heart of the city. Situated on Rue de la Roquette, this Greek restaurant shines through its focused menu, dedicated to traditional flavors melded with fresh, quality ingredients.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly the variety of pita-based dishes. From the rich, tender pulled pork pita to the beautifully balanced pita with lamb (known locally as pita agneau), each option showcases an authentic yet approachable take on Greek street food. Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for too, with options like roasted aubergines and a thoughtfully prepared vegan moussaka, ensuring inclusivity without compromise on taste.

Complementing the main dishes are classic Greek specialties like spanakopita, made with delicate filo pastry and packed with spinach, herbs, and feta, and a fresh Greek salad bursting with ripe tomatoes, olives, and cucumbers, served with the iconic pita bread. The menu respects tradition while serving generous portions designed to satisfy hungry Parisians and tourists alike.

Customers consistently praise not only the quality and flavor of the food but also the smooth and welcoming service. Staff easily switch between French and English, making the experience hassle-free for international guests. The environment inside is modest and compact, reflecting typical Parisian dining spaces, which keeps the focus firmly on the food rather than ambiance—a no-frills experience but one rich in authenticity.

This restaurant caters well to both locals looking for a quick yet satisfying meal and visitors eager to explore Mediterranean flavors without leaving Paris. Its proximity to Bastille makes it an ideal stop for a casual lunch or dinner after exploring the neighborhood’s lively streets.

In essence, PITA Bastille stands out as a beacon of genuine Greek cuisine in Paris. Its thoughtful menu, consistent quality, and friendly service come together to offer a satisfying, authentic culinary journey rooted in tradition but served with modern simplicity.

Great spot near Bastille. The portions were generous and very filling, and the food tasted really good with fresh and well prepared ingredients. The location is nice and easy to stop by. Staff communicated easily in English, which made everything smooth. Would definitely come back if I’m in Paris again.

Very good Greek food with continual service here in Paris. No frills or ambiance, just really good food. I got the lamb plate and enjoyed every bite. The sweet potatoes with tzatziki was delicious.

Really good food. Friendly staff (switched to English without issue). Lamb plate was excellent - sweet potatoes and fresh tomatoes very good. A bit small inside, but typical for Paris. Recommended.

Oh my goodness. This is all I could think of as I ate this amazing Lamb pita. For a great value, you get an amazing taste and large portion that will keepy you full for the hours to come in a concert. Do yourself a favor and go eat here. Also tried the pulled pork and was amazing in taste, as well as sweet potato side dish with Tzatziki!

A nice green restaurant serving authentic pita bread sandwiches. They have a variety of vegan/vegetarian and meat based offerings on their menu. I tried the mozzarella & veggies as well as the original Felafel pitas. I preferred the former more as it was more succulent and had a variety of flavours. The Felafel comes with hummus and can be relatively drier. Overall great place with quick service. Price: slightly on the higher side.

Easily one of the best pitas I've ever had. For me it's the pitagneaux, the combination of fresh ingredients with the meat that melts in your mouth will definitely bring joy to anyone that tastes it. You won't go wrong with a side of potatoes and maybe a greek beer to take a closer step to Greece. I wouldn't recommend dining in for bigger groups 5+ since it can get a bit cramped, however I'm sure they can improve that minor detail in the future, I'll know since I'm definitely going back again!
